New Drawing Idea

I have an idea for a new drawing that keeps popping up in my brain so I attempted to recreate the image in Photoshop--the drawing will include some variant of either one of these.

NYC Summary

I had a great day in NY last Saturday (despite the rain) and saw a lot of great shows. Some highlights were:

Thesis Gallery!

Here's the floor plan for the gallery (Decker) I'm in for Thesis I. I have a super long wall so hopefully I'll make either some huge drawings or a lot of medium-sized drawings. Thesis I opens March 27, 2010.

NYC this weekend!

I haven't been back to NYC in almost a year, so I'm really excited to go see a TON of shows and galleries. I want to see Paired Gold, the Felix Gonzales-Torres and Roni Horn pieces at the Guggenheim.

I'm also really looking forward to the Slash: show at the Museum of Art and Design. I love that place!

And of course I'm excited to go to Chelsea and see a bunch of shows up there now. If I had my Art in America in front of me I could remember which ones I was really looking forward to...

Photoshop Docs for New Drawing

I started this drawing of a walking bridge and ended up not liking how I placed it on the page. I cut it out and glued it onto a new piece of paper about 8 ft long. I took a picture, uploaded it into Photoshop, and did some mock-ups for versions of the new drawing. I chose to do the first one pictured here...still working on it, but pictures to come soon!
