earl

this was the first piece i did that i really felt like i was on to something and it seemed like it had the potential to spur other work. i'll upload my artist's statement to supplement the next few images.

mt royal fall 2008

so when i started mt royal i thought that i wanted to continue doing my knitted, steel supported work and i wanted to create a narrative for the work and subsequently an animation. this fizzled out fast, as i realized i wasn't as interested in pursuing what i had been doing and wanted to explore other ideas. i was pretty sick of knitting too. so there's work i did in the first few weeks of that first semester.

forgot to add these to post-bac portfolio...
